School Leadership Update
As we bring this academic year to a close, it is with immense gratitude that I reflect on the journey we have traversed together at CS Academy. Each passing term has reaffirmed the depth of our commitment to our motto — ‘Aspire, Create, Excel’. It is more than a phrase; it is a guiding principle that shapes every experience, every lesson, and every endeavour within our school community.
At CS, we believe that education is not confined to the mastery of subjects or the pursuit of academic excellence alone. It is about nurturing the whole child — intellectually, emotionally, socially, and ethically. True success is measured not just in accolades and achievements, but in the quiet strength of character, the resilience to rise after a fall, the courage to take initiative, and the empathy to stand beside another.
In an increasingly complex and competitive world, we remain committed to equipping our students not only with knowledge but with the emotional intelligence and social awareness that define truly global citizens. The ability to lead with empathy, to collaborate across differences, and to contribute meaningfully to the world — these are the attributes that will carry our students far beyond the classroom.
This year, our students have demonstrated these values time and again — in classrooms, on stages, in sports fields, in debates, in outreach initiatives, and in the countless everyday moments of kindness and creativity. Our educators and staff, ever dedicated and passionate, have continued to inspire, mentor, and model the virtues we hope to instil.
As we look forward to another year of aspirations and possibilities, let us remember that education is not a destination, but a continuous journey — one in which we keep growing, questioning, imagining, and most importantly, caring.
Thank you for being an integral part of this journey. May we continue to aspire, create, and excel together.
Warm regards,
Dr Sitara Vikram, Executive Director, CS Academy Schools

STUDENT PERSPECTIVE

Brother Not by Blood - Rithvikha V- 12 A
My incarnation in a parallel universe
Visits me in this space so diverse
Meets me and tells me this - Life
Out there is just amiss
When I ask her why?
She tells me with a pitiful cry
That they don't cherish families
No love or care or together teas.
That is the moment I realise
That our bloods are not for-sales
They stick with us through smiles and cries
And stay for us, whatever it takes
Not everyone who’s born with me
Values my heart that they don't see
But there are people out so far
Who trust my pureness without par.
The world is full of astounding souls
And one of them is your mother
To whom I surrender an indebted role
For she has given me an amazing brother.
Though we weren't in the same womb
God could have made me meet you soon
Coz you are such a soft, pure heart
With whom I never wish to part!

The Reigning of Courage in The Arid Vast - Thanvanth SS - 11A
Sometimes when I surmise the arid past,
I could feel myself stranded on a colossal desert of golden vast
Yearning for happiness, like the scarce line of a stream,
Occasional ring in the desert, elusive with the Mirage of a blinding dream,
Accepting my fate like the lonely camel,
Wading my way through the thirsty winds;
A bitter reminiscence across my soul,
Riddled with pain and worries untold.
Crueller than the savage viper, agitating like a scorpion.
I am filled with agony until I see
The fading shades of the Sun in the Azure,
My sorrows and troubles subside with
The reign of courage and bravery like
The moon hangs over the sky, basking in its regal glory.

Modern Mythology - Sri Sarvadha SJ - 11B
Some things are just indescribable—they leave you speechless, stealing your golden words. One such experience that captured my heart was reading the book “Durga”. At first glance, it may seem like just another retelling of the familiar goddess, but to my delight, it was so much more. Kevin Missal, the author, reimagines Durga not as a celestial deity but as a woman whose story embodies the essence of feminism and unyielding strength. The book challenges traditional narratives, offering a fresh perspective that resonates deeply with contemporary readers. Missal’s storytelling skills are truly spellbinding. He crafts a narrative that grips you from the very first page, with an enticing vocabulary that perfectly complements the innovative plot. His portrayal of Durga as a symbol of empowerment is both powerful and inspiring, making the reader question preconceived notions about divinity and strength. As a huge fan of such genres, I believe this book is a standout piece of literature. It is a must-read for anyone who loves fiction, especially those who enjoy seeing mythology reinterpreted in a new light. This book doesn't just tell a story; it evokes a powerful emotional response, making it a worthwhile reading experience.

What If the ‘Real World’ is Just a Higher Level of the Game? - LAKSHITHA T - 11D
What if I told you that you don't exist? Your thoughts, memories, and even your body are just lines of code executing on an incredibly powerful computer. Sounds insane, right? Welcome to the Simulation Hypothesis. This concept isn't simply wacky sci-fi. In 2003, philosopher Nick Bostrom proposed a statement that still worries people today. He reported that if civilisations continue to advance technologically, sooner or later, they will be able to build ultra-realistic virtual realities. And, if they can do it once, why not do it a million times? Elon Musk is one of the strongest supporters of Simulation Theory, and what he said makes this argument more real. "The strongest argument for us being in a simulation is the following: 40 years ago, we had Pong. Now we have photorealistic 3D simulations with millions of people playing simultaneously, and it's getting better every year. Soon, we will have virtual reality, augmented reality, and AI so advanced that we won’t be able to distinguish them from reality. If you assume any rate of improvement at all, games will become indistinguishable from reality. It would follow that the odds that we are in base reality are one in billions." That is, we might just be NPCs in some sort of cosmic-level simulation. The speed of light is an exact, fixed limit (like a maximum frame rate in a game). Gravity, time, and motion follow perfect equations like someone coded them. The universe operates on "Laws", but who made them? If everything was random chaos, why would it seem like strict programming logic? Why would someone create such a simulation? There are a few theories. Maybe we’re part of an experiment, a high-tech way for future humans (or even aliens) to study how humans evolve. Or maybe we’re just here for entertainment, like an insane version of The Sims. The programmers may be trying out different time periods and making minor changes to see how history changes with every twist. Maybe in an alternate simulation, dinosaurs continued to thrive while humans never existed! But that's where it gets stranger—some scientists believe we may have proof. Heard of quantum physics? Atoms behave in different ways when they are being observed, as if the universe only presents reality when there is an observer, similar to how video games generate graphics when entering a new scene. Some physicists suspect that space and time are not smooth but made of pixel-like units, much like a digital screen is composed of individual pixels. If that is the case, then reality itself could be composed of code. So… what's the point of all this? Well, whether we exist or exist only within some super great big simulation, we still feel, we build connections, and we live in a way that means something. Love, laughter, heartbreak, everything feels real to us, so does it matter if we're only part of a programme? Moreover, we don't have any solid scientific proof for this. Some claim the simulated universe concept is nonsense. Others think it's the answer to everything. We can debate this theory until the cows come home, but the truth is we may never know. Perhaps we are in a simulation. Perhaps we're not. Or perhaps, just maybe… the people who are simulating us don't want us to know. Just don't be surprised if you begin to notice glitches.
